Work & Observations

All seems good. Beats that have sprouted are getting leafy. Farva is good and a couple of the early sown plants have blooms. Early peas are sad but some how still kicking while the late peas are doing well. White onions are good and one looks ready to bloom. No real changes to the other vegetables or the Tea and Herb bed.

The seesawing of warm to cold has caused the front bulbs to start to sprout.

There was frost on the ground this morning when I did my walk and it was too early to see any wild life.

Personal Thoughts, Sketches, and Photos

What do you do with basil after winter? UPDATE: In late fall you let the plants go to seed then dead head them. The seeds that fall prior to dead heading should sprout in the spring and grow new plants.
