Gardening with Jim and Pam at Lonestar Lakes Park then Solo gardening the home vegetable garden.

Work & Observations

At Lonestar Lakes Park we edged Bob' Miracle Garden and the Fire House Beds, weeded the Oak Grove bed, and mulched the Fire House and Stop Sign beds.

Heard Cardinal mating call and moved a young snapping turtle out of the road.

At home I divided the corn and moved squashes. Split up the farva; hopefully this will help how sickly they look. Once more russet and a sweet potato sprouted. Trimmed the seed heads off the scallions and white onion. Weeded all the veg beds and trimmed the suckers off the tomatoes; hopefully that will boost them. Raspberries need better soil and sulfur treatment. Red clover is blooming. Strawberries have started to fruit.

Yesterday cut all turf and spread urea after weeding front turf. Need to feed the vegetable garden and run to Norfolk County Feed & Seed.
